Who We Are
In September 2023, FASD United hosted their annual Impact Week. Advocates, clinicians, researchers, and professionals from around the country gathered to connect and advocate for the needs of individuals affected by prenatal alcohol exposure. During this event, a group of parents, caregivers and professionals from Virginia connected around the need for greater awareness and support across the state. Thus, FASD Virginia was formed.
FASD Virginia does not provide direct services. We are a grassroots group of individuals who have personally been challenged to find FASD resources and services in our state. To help families and professionals, this website hub is an emerging virtual network connecting individuals with FASD, their caregivers, and service providers to improve the lives of Virginians affected by prenatal alcohol exposure.
As we work to build up the resources available in Virginia, we will continue to connect across states and include resources from other areas that offer services not yet available in our state or that offer virtual services. We invite you to let us know of resources you have found that should be added to the website. You can contact any of the organizations below with additional questions or resources to add.
