The Attachment Place (TAP) was founded to provide help and support for pre-teens, teens, and young adults who have experienced early childhood trauma. Complex trauma (developmental trauma disorder-DTD) deteriorates trust and affects the child’s ability to form healthy attachments. TAP helps children with difficulty trusting enter into safe, loving relationships, which change behaviors. TAP provides short and long-term therapeutic respite, as well as parent coaching and shadowing, all in a farm setting. TAP also specializes in working with individuals affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and their families. TAP serves clients throughout the United States.
